
The company official said that, Bajaj might also launched Kawasaki Ninja 250R in May-2009 with the price tag of Rs 2.5-3 lakh. Bajaj Auto Managing Director, Rajiv Bajaj said that that the Kawasaki Ninja 250R would come in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) product, so that it is priced at over Rs 2 lakh due to import duty. Meanwhile, the two-wheeler major is launching its latest offering, the Bajaj XCD 135cc DTS-Si bike, that is available with drum brakes.
Vikalp Kapoor, regional manager of two-wheeler sales in Maharashtra, said that the Bajaj XCD 135cc DTS-Si that is fitted with disc brakes, will come into the market by the end of this weekend and is priced at around Rs 47,000 (ex showroom). The entry-level Bajaj XCD 135cc bike is priced just more than Rs 2,000 over the Bajaj XCD 125cc at Rs 43,000.
