Bajaj Auto sales down in March

India's second largest two-wheeler manufacture Bajaj Auto sales down in March. Bajaj Auto reported its record around 14.40% fall in its bike sales in March at 1,32,210 units as compared to the 1,54,443 units of bikes in the same month of last year. Bajaj Auto total bike sales during the financial year of 2008-09 is also dipped by 10.84% at 19,07,810 units as compared to 21,39,779 units in the previous year.

Bajaj Auto records its total bike sales in the month of March is 1,32,640 units, a 14.70% downfall compared to the same month last year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) official said in a statement. Bajaj Auto faced downfall in its exports also by 8.15% with 46,874 units in March over the 51,035 units in the same month of last year.

Bajaj Auto reported that its total two-wheeler sales down at 1,54,093 units in March as compared to 1,76,280 units in the in the same month of last year, which is down by 12.59%. During the fiscal 2008-09, Bajaj Auto's total two- wheeler sales down by 11.18% at 19,19,582 units over the same period of last year with 21,61,095 units.

Bajaj Auto Limited said ia a statement, "Company expects stronger growth in the first quarter of next financial year powered by the continuing success of the Bajaj XCD 135 DTS-Si as also the launch of product upgrades off the Pulsar platform."
