
India's second largest two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj is now ready to launch KTM bikes in India. KTM is the leading bike manufacturer of Austria and few years back it shown its interest to launch its bikes in India including KTM duke 690. And KTM plans to launch its bikes in India as a joint venture with Bajaj Auto. Bajaj Auto and KTM is now ready to launch their first street bike and they might introduced these bikes at the biennial Auto Expo in 2010.
KTM is the leading Austrian bike manufacturer that have the engines range from 50cc to 1,200cc. In this joint venture Bajaj Auto has 31.71% stake in it. Bajaj Auto and KTM had also been worked on the development of 125cc motorcycles following an agreement in November 2007. Both bikes will be equipped with the liquid-cooled four stroke engines.
KTM also plans to introduced these high-performance motorcycles at the international bike fair, EICMA, that will be held in Milan, Italy, this November, and subsequently at the Auto Expo in New Delhi in January. Bajaj Auto is also working on to revamp its entire product range, sold under the Bajaj Pulsar brand, with some modifications in the exterior body and in its engine. Bajaj is also working on launch a completely new bike by the end of this year.
Bajaj and KTM are also planning to launch a few KTM super bikes, that includes its 690 Duke, 990 Adventure, 250 EXC-F, 690 Supermoto and the 990 Superduke in India by the end of this year.
